Is XTREME© Parts Wash a solvent? No, it is a hydrocarbon modifier, rather than a solvent.Is XTREME© Parts Wash hazardous to use? No. XTREME© Parts Wash carries a 0-0-0 hazmat rating and is biodegradeable.Will it harm our employees? XTREME© Parts Wash leaves no oily film or residue, and does not harm normal skin types, however, some skin types may redden with continued exposure.Will it harm our equipment? XTREME© Parts Wash safely removes grease, oil, dirt, mold & mildew, scale, paint residue and light rust. XTREME© Parts Wash breaks down hydrocarbons of all types, so it should not be used on painted parts or containing silicone, unless these components are required to be removed from the part.Is XTREME© Parts Wash a detergent? No, and it also contains no nitrates, nitrites, acids, phosphates or detergents.Is XTREME© Parts Wash a bio-remediation additive? No. XTREME© Parts Wash is a surface washing agent and a chemical formulation. It contains no "bugs" or organisms.Is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for use? While not required for storage, application or disposal, PPE is always recommended when working with or around chemicals of any kind. At minimum, safety glasses should always be worn when using parts washers in order to prevent foreign matter from being splashed into the eyes.How do we order under the Ford® system? Yes. XTREME© Parts Wash can be used full-strength in cold washing systems and diluted in hot washes and vapor blast systems.How do we use XTREME© Parts Wash in vapor blast systems? Vapor blast systems should use XTREME© Parts Wash according to the system's manufacturer's instructions.What about disposal methods? XTREME© Parts Wash is approved for disposal in most wastewater systems, and actually improves them. Utility District tests show that when XTREME© Parts Wash is added to the sewer system, biological activity is increased. XTREME© Parts Wash is broken down into nutrients, which feed naturally-occurring microorganisms in the sewerand in septic systems.
