In the aftermath of the ecological disaster following a major oil spill at Valdez, Alaska in the 1980s, many people became attuned to the need for environmentally friendly solutions for oil & gas related industries. In 1996, James Hatcher began the search for such a solution and formed Plutus Environmental Technologies, Inc. After attending the ADIPEC Oil Exposition in Abu Dhabi, Plutus began field testing PRAİ, the world's first successful green solution for hydrocarbon remediation. In 1997, Plutus began a successful battery of field tests for downhole paraffin remediation applications involving heavy asphaltenes near Fort Stockton, Texas. By 2001, Plutus expanded into automotive applications and became an authorized vendor for Ford Motor Company and it's subsidiaries. In the early 2000s, Plutus completed low-temperature tests for paraffin remediation in refinery applications in Poland and developed two new products, E-Safeİ, designed for hydrocarbon remedition of surface spills and Sheen Magicİ, for hydrocarbon spills on waterways. These products are now accepted for use in cleanup of hydrocarbon spills in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2009, Plutus E-Safeİ & Sheen Magicİ became the first two products listed by the UK Environmental Agency in the Surface Modifier category. Today, Plutus continues to develop new ideas for a safe and clean environment. |
